Elliot Zace, general manager of Slug-A-Bug, is the new treasurer for the Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA). He was sworn in during the group’s recent expo in Orlando.

The FPMA is a professional organization that promotes the interests of pest management professionals in Florida. Established in 1948, it promotes the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct among its members.

The group’s annual expo brings together industry professionals to learn about the latest in pest control techniques and new technology relevant to the field. This year’s event featured a variety of speakers who educated attendees from around the state on such issues as bed bug control, termite management, tech safety, proper spray techniques and equipment calibration. They went on to cover business topics of leadership development, employee retention, sales and service. There was also a discussion about the importance of employee benefits and work culture.

The event gives industry professionals a chance to network and make connections with peers. Attendees also meet with vendors to learn more about the latest developments in pest control.

Slug-A-Bug is a long-standing member of both the FPMA and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA).
