It can be extremely disheartening to discover your house has termites. That’s a common worry among homeowners, particularly here in Florida where these destructive pests thrive in such abundance.

Slug-A-Bug understands the distress and sense of uncertainty a possible infestation can cause. Our technicians do more than provide treatment. We put you at ease, explain the process and make sure it all makes sense to you. The more you know, the better – that’s our belief.

Our team takes pride in providing customers with highly professional inspections, recommendations and treatment programs. Slug-A-Bug also offers a one-year guarantee at no extra cost. That’s how confident we are that we can eliminate the problem.

In our region, the predominant species of subterranean termite we encounter is Reticulitermes flavipes, the eastern subterranean termite. However, there is a species making significant inroads here that may eventually become the dominant subterranean species: Coptotermes formosanus or the Formosan termite. An invasive insect that traveled on ships from east Asia, the Formosan termite is aggressive and does significantly more damage than the eastern subterranean termite.

So, how does Slug-A-Bug treat a home to protect against all these highly destructive pests? First, our state-licensed inspectors check your property thoroughly. Then you’ll receive a treatment plan recommendation suited to your specific situation.

We use one of our best termite solutions available: the Trelona ATBS Annual Monitoring Station. When Slug-A-Bug techs deploy this solution, the termites consume the active ingredient in the bait, which impairs their ability to molt. This condition proves fatal to the colony. With Trelona, there’s no need to redo the treatment in 10 years, because the system delivers active bait on an ongoing basis. We replace the bait as needed for the life of the agreement.

If you think you have a termite infestation, don’t wait until a small problem becomes a big one. And don’t panic, either. Call Slug-A-Bug today (321) 259-7844 for your free inspection. Our team of experts will be happy to help you eliminate these pests and protect your property from future damage.
